Match Makers

Three senior producers accompany the thirteen companies selected for the artistic programme of Swiss Dance Days 2026. As Match Makers, they act both strategically and caringly – they are sparring partners and bridge builders at the same time.

With Match Makers, we are continuing our successful collaboration between producers, artists and international presenters. The project sees itself as a support programme for sustainable relationships, targeted strategies and artistic networking across national borders.

In advance, they work with the companies to develop individual distribution strategies and establish contacts with national and international presenters who are travelling to the Swiss Dance Days, with the aim of targeting a few meaningful encounters rather than having mass emailing end up nowhere. During the Swiss Dance Days (11–14 February 2026), they organise meetings, initiate discussions and mediate between the artists and presenters on site.

After the festival, they continue their work with the companies: in an individual follow-up discussion, they reflect on the experiences and outline the next steps – so that the encounters in Berne can lead to long-term collaborations and guest performances.

The Match Makers are not a substitute for the producers, who do excellent and important work for the companies, but rather strategic companions who, from a neutral position, open up access and bring people into contact with each other in a caring and considered manner.

Our three Match Makers are - please do not hesitate to contact them if you wish to meet the selected artists during the Swiss Dance Days.
